Help: Companies
88 Miles allows you to organise your projects by company. Each company has a rolodex entry on the companies page (accessible from the Companies link in the header). You can download the details of all of your companies in vcard format, which can by imported into many popular mail clients.
Adding and removing a company is really simple — give the company a name and pick whether the it is public (All my work mates), private (Just me) or pick a sub-set of staff members (Let me choose…).
Public companies are available to your manager (if you are a staff member) and all of the other staff members in your group.
Private companies can only be viewed by you. You can easily tell if a company is private in the project view by the
large padlock icon (
). Note that if you create a public
project belonging to a private company all users will be able to see the
name
of the private company. However
they won't be able to add any projects to that company.
